AUDIO

In the summer of 2019, I interned for the podcast Bay Curious at KQED News in San Francisco. Through that experience, I became familiar with Adobe Audition, studio recording, and field recording with a hand-held mic. I also contributed to group listening sessions, created the social media kit and sent newsletter pitches for each episode, and advised on long-term social media strategy.

In 2019 and 2020 I was the audio team leader for Newsroom by the Bay, a summer journalism program for high school students. I developed the audio curriculum, and in two weeks, I was able to teach a team of students with no prior audio experience the basics of podcasting, help them produce a five-episode podcast series, and edit their accompanying articles.

Check out my work from these experiences below!
